I know of great bloggers who have made a huge living from using the social media as a medium to promote their articles likewise Pastors, Bishops and other forms of ministers of the Gospel. This simply means that the social media is a platform to have a voice all across the world.
Egypt used the Facebook as a loudspeaker to hold protest against the then tyranny of their former president who wanted to rule in form an anarchy system. At the end of the day, they won eventually because with the social media platform, the whole world were able to hear them and came to their help in different ways. This will drive the individual to checking his/her facebook or whatsapp instead of studying the Bible to get prepared for the new day . this practice goes on for days, months and years and eventually turns the usually vibrant Christian into a seriously backslidden fellow in the sight of God and men.

Some Christian in recent times have decided to use their different social media profile to hide what and who they are. They can be seen using the feed features like that of facebook to depict some serious hypocritical lifestyle. This has sounded like fun for those in it whereas it is a serious matter as we are encouraged by Apostle Paul in Romans 12:1-2 to live above the worldly pattern and should also serve as light to it for light has no business with darkness. This simply means that God’s perspective for the social profile of a true Christian is that he/she should avoid evil communication even when no one knows what he/she is chatting about.

Persons who have not been on their guard while using the diverse social media platforms we have in these days of ours, have been changed by the influence of the nature of lifestyle they see on their feeds constantly as they get more glued to their smartphones and iPads and more. When you fail to hold unto the very truth from the words of God on how to live on earth on a daily basis, any other kind of filthy words, thoughts and actions will occupy your heart and make you live outside the world of spiritual sanity. It is very important that a true Christian be on his/her guard to avoid being compelled to live a wrong life because outside the sphere of a holy living, destiny is always in danger of not being achieved.

When a Christian chats to sleep on a daily basis, when will he/she have the time to pray before sleeping? It is not bad to chat at night but letting it to control your prayer life makes it an enemy to your Christian life. When you do this, you will at least start to gain some serious control over your social life and not the vice versa.
